Originally known as Mysore State, it was renamed Karnataka in 1973. The state corresponds to the Carnatic region. Its capital and largest city is Bangalore.
Karnataka borders the Arabian Sea to the west, Goa to the northwest, Maharashtra to the north, Telangana to the northeast, Andhra Pradesh to the east, Tamil Nadu to the southeast and Kerala to the south.

Mexico is one of the most important growing countries in the world when it comes to high-quality coffee. The Arabica bean in particular is widespread here and clearly makes up the largest share at 90 percent.
Mexico also has a reputation for pioneering organic coffee growing. The majority of the amount currently produced comes from organic farming. Similar to other Central American countries, there are also cooperatives in the Aztec state that unite smallholders under one roof and guarantee them fair working conditions including a minimum income.
